Based on the Risk Assessment Document in the workplace, the company's workers, designated by the employer to be part of the fire-fighting team, will have to attend occupational safety courses of several hours based on risk.
The Fire Fighting course is aimed at workers who have been designated by the Employer to fill the role of Fire Prevention Officers. The Employer is obliged to designate the firefighting team from among the workers and to provide for their training.
The program of the fire-fighting course is diversified according to the risk indicated in the analysis phase in the preparation of the Risk Assessment Document (DVR).
As foreseen by the D.M. 10 March 1998, Companies can be classified into 3 risk categories:
HIGH RISK
Mineral extraction; Other Mining Industries; Buildings; Industries
Food etc .; Textiles, Clothing; Tanning, Leather; Wood; Paper,
Publishing, Press; Non-metallic minerals; Metal production and processing; Manufacture of machinery, equipment; Mechanics; Manufacture of machinery, electrical and electronic equipment; Motor vehicles; Mobile; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, water; Waste disposal; Refineries - Nuclear fuel treatment; Chemical industry, fibers; Rubber, Plastic; Health; Residential social assistance
MEDIUM RISK
Agriculture; Fishing; Transport, warehousing, communications; NON-residential social assistance (85.32); Public administration; Instruction.
LOW RISK
Wholesale and retail trade; Craft activities not comparable to the previous ones (body shops, vehicle repairs, laundries, hairdressers, planners, confectioners, etc.); Hotels; Restaurants; Insurance; Real estate; IT Recreational, cultural and sporting associations; Household Services; Extraterritorial organizations.
1. Fire and fire prevention (1 hour):
- principles and products of combustion
- extinguishing substances in relation to the type of fire
- effects of the fire on humans
- prohibitions and limitations
- behavioral measures
2. Fire protection and procedures to be adopted in case of fire (1 hour):
- main fire protection measures
- evacuation in case of fire
- call for help;
- behavioral measures
3. Practical exercises (2 hours):
- having read and clarified the portable fire extinguishers
- instruction on the use of portable fire extinguishers carried out through practical demonstration
