Operational Safety Plans (POS)

The Operational Safety Plan (POS) is always mandatory in companies that operate, even in subcontracting, within temporary or mobile construction sites and must always be drawn up to avoid injury to workers and prevent the development of occupational diseases.

The POS must contain at least the following elements:
1) the data of the executing company:
2) the duties, inherent to safety, carried out on site by each person appointed by the executing company;
3) the description of the site activity;
4) the name of the competent doctor where required
5) the name of the person in charge of the prevention and protection service
6) the names of the technical director, site manager and site manager;
7) the number and related qualifications of employees of the executing company and self-employed workers working on site on behalf of the same company
8) the specific tasks, related to safety, carried out on site by each person appointed for the purpose by the executing company
9) description of the construction site activity, organizational methods and work shifts
10) the list of scaffolding, wheeled tower bridges and other temporary works of considerable importance, of the machines and systems used on the construction site and where clearly specified the relative certificates.
11) the list of dangerous substances and preparations used on the construction site with the relative safety data sheets and the storage method on site including the specific safety and protection plan.
12) the outcome of the noise assessment report.
13) the identification of preventive and protective measures, supplementary to those contained in the PSC when required, adopted in relation to the risks associated with their work on site.
14) the complementary and detailed procedures, required by the PSC when envisaged.
15) the list of personal protective equipment provided to workers employed on site.
16) documentation regarding information and training provided to workers employed on site;
17) identification data of the executing company (name of the employer, addresses and telephone numbers of the registered office and construction site offices)
18) the names of the first aid, firefighting and evacuation workers and, in any case, the management of emergencies on site, of the workers' representative for safety, company or territorial, where elected or designated
