Analysis and design
The fire risk assessment is an integral part of the Risk Assessment Document (DVR) and provides both the criteria for assessing the workplace and the prevention measures to be adopted to reduce the risk of fire or to limit its consequences. The assessment involves any type of Company as a workplace and must allow the Employer to take all the measures necessary to safeguard the safety of workers and other people present in the Company. The fire risk assessment takes into account:- the type of activity of the materials stored and handled of the equipment present in the workplace including furnishings
- the construction characteristics of the workplace including the cladding materials
- the size and articulation of the place of work
- the number of people present, whether they are employees or other people, and their readiness to leave in case of emergency
