Prevention consists of the operations put in place to reduce (or eliminate) the probability of a specific harmful event occurring.
Protection consists of the steps taken to reduce the severity associated with a given malicious event.
The assessment of specific risks is aimed at identifying the appropriate prevention and protection measures that the Employer, in collaboration with the RSPP and the Competent Doctor, decides to adopt to reduce - or eliminate - the risk examined.
Specific risks: risks for which the Consolidated Law on Safety at Work refers to reference technical standards and their assessment for inclusion in a specific risk class derives from appropriate calculation algorithms.
These risks include: noise risk, vibration risk (hand / arm and whole body), chemical risk, manual handling of loads (lifting and transport, pushing and towing, repeated movements), fire risk, video terminal risk, etc.
